After having a Eureka Hepa Smart Vac for 11 years, I wanted another Eureka that worked just as well.
I found the Eureka Boss to be too heavy and clunky at the store so I purchased this 2905A.
I have had this vacuum for 12 months and I have found it to be excellent! It is light, powerful, and easy to use.
Best things about this Vac:
1. The brush lifts up off the floor when using the onboard tools.
2. It's light.
3. Awesome suction power (both the brush roller and the onboard tools).
4. Easy to maneauver.
5. Self propelling.
6. Carrying handle hidden under the top cord hook.
7. On/off switch is on top by the handle (no troublesome on/off foot switch).
8. Rubber bumper around the edges.
9. Three level carpet pile.
10. Headlight.
11. Easy to change the bag and the belt.
12. Long cord.
13. Cleans up dirt very, very well.
Things that could be improved: (but that I can tolerate because it cleans so well and the above attributes)
1. Awkward grip on handle and handles of onboard tools.
2. Not great for stairs - I'll be ordering the Pet Paw separately ($15) for stair cleaning.
3. Some of the plastic parts seem cheap/weak (they've held up good so far, I just hope they last).
4. When changing the belt a lot of dirt falls out of the nooks and cranies under the cover.
5. Despite those 4 things, this vacuum REALLY works great!
reviewed for about 4 months vacuums in stores and on line...had a eureka before this one . same design. this powerline is
very powerful, lite weight, easy to use. the base is made of lite plastic which will probably crack in years to come
like the one I had before this which is the reason I needed a new vacuum..
this vacuum has good tools, easy to use in a second while vacuuming... cord is long enough for my home..
I vacuum frequently and am pleased with the eureka .
