When I first received my little Windtunnel vacuum I was pumped and ready to conquer my floors! It was super easy to put together, and a breeze to use. I vacuumed a small area first to see how much it would pick up, and it was scary how much crap was in my carpet! I was very, very, very pleased with the suction. I needed a lightweight full-size vacuum, because we have two dogs, a cat, and an almost-crawling baby. Our 26 pounder just wasn't efficient enough for me anymore. Well, sad news is, two days after receiving it, the hose came out from the attachment clip as I neared the top of the stairs. More importantly, it's the part that connects the hose to the vacuum head, making it completely unusable. I'm not sure if this is poor design, or just really bad glue. I was pretty mad that I had to return this, because I was finally enjoying vacuuming for once, and my house seemed so much fresher already. I don't recommend this vacuum if you have stairs, or plan on stretching the hose to it's max length. It's an excellent vacuum with one major design flaw. What a shame.
Pros:
good suction for a small machine
gets pet hair off low area rugs and low carpet well
small and light and cute
pretty quiet
maneuvers very well
long cord
filter seems to work well...I don't see dust flying all over
easy to empty
Cons
the hose has VERY low suction (pity... because this is what I use the most)
dust cup needs to be emptied VERY often
attaching and detaching the hose (which is not permanently attached to the handle) and attaching and detaching the extension hose (which you need almost always for reach) is annoying and inconvenient
pet hair gets stuck around the cone and you need to take the dust bin apart to clear it out ( a little inconvenient when you have to do this so often)
Final thoughts
would keep it for the good job it does on area rugs and low carpet but since I need a vacuum with a strong hose and don't want a separate one for each job, I have to return this
